  1. Just to be clear, I didn't send anyone round in a threatening manner, far from it. He advertised a service, I paid for that service, then never received my film and transfers. I had contact prior to me purchasing the service, but nothing after. So after 3 months of no contact or replies, my friend went to the location on his website, which I originally assumed would've been a store front. But after a little Google research it turned out to be a home address. At that point all I wanted was my film back, as I'm sure everyone who's been in the same situation would feel the same. He then told my friend he'd have it ready for me the next week. It then took a further 3 weeks to arrive.

There was no mention on illness or family problems, which I understand can cause problems and is sad. But if this is the case, you should not accept payments for a service that you can't provide.

  2. Have you just tried phoning? Or go to the shop?

    from their website: 07971 069263

    from google: 020-3016- 2039

He doesn't have a shop. I had to send a friend round to enquire about my films and it looks like he's just a middle man working from home. His emails bounce, the mobile number doesn't get answered and the land line goes to some random persons house.

You pay via Paypal on his website. I'd open a dispute through them and hope that he gets in touch. Don't close the dispute until you either get your film or money back.

I used ANDEC for my last batch and they were fast, efficient, and had great communication.

Good luck, when this happened to me it was really stressful.

  3. I had a friend go round to the address that was registered for Blue Cine Tech. They spoke to Bart who informed him that my stuff will be sent out in the next few days, hopefully yours will be too Sam!

On a separate note. Does anyone know where Bart sends them to be developed and transferred? I have more film for the same project that needs processed and i'd like it to look the same.

    Cheers.

  4. Hi guys, first post. I found this thread while googling Blue Cine Tech. I used Bart last year for development of 4 super 8mm cartridges, it took a month which is fine.

I recently send 5 more to be developed and transferred, emailing beforehand for a rough time estimate. I was told a month again, which again was fine. That was on March 20th and i've not had any word back from him. I don't mind waiting the extra time, but it's been three weeks over the one month estimation time, which is quite a lot of time, especially when i need these for work.

It's the lack of communication that bugs me, if i had a reply saying it would be more time and everything was ok i wouldn't mind at all. It's not cheap to get these done and it seems like once you've paid for the service, and it is a professional service, that he doesn't bother to reply.

Have you received yours back yet Sam?
