Just put the periscopic finder on the 2C and it works fine. You get a little bit of corner vignetting but the whole academy frame is completely visible.

Does anyone know what is the diference of ACL I and II ?

Someone said that:

ACL II can take on-board battery...ACL I, None.

ACL II HAS 7 LED Light Meter at the viewfinder...ACL I, None.

IS IT TRUE?

My lens is Arri PL-mount ....not B mount.

also..not T coated.

I think that my lens is the older verson...not MKII or MKI

Some questions, ist on you lens a arri b-mount undernetah the PL-mount? I'm quiet sure that on the other lens is.

Is your lens T coated? Is it an MK1 or MK2

The mount question is important because if I should buy the lens, I won't probably have the time to have it converted as my project starts at the end of august.

i have a preset switar and im interested in getting feedback on the set.

 

i understand that all of the presets cover super16 from the 10mm up to the 75mm, including the 10mm with the aspherson. is this true? if not what lenses cover super16 and what lenses don't?

 

assuming that they do cover super16, are they sharp from centre to the edges or do they soften up?

 

otherwise what do you all think of theimage quality they put down?

The 16-100 POE lens will vignette in Super 16 under focal 35mm approximately. This lens cannot be converted to Super 16.

Hey Tim , I also received a email from Marc Ueter at Bolex Switzerland.

The S16 mod. for 12.5-100 lens is very very E...X....P....E....N....S....I....V....E... :( :( :( :( :(

The "some restrictions" means anything below 25mm in the zoom range, as I stated above. Now I am not saying you could not find a combination of aperture and focal distance below 25mm where you would not be getting vignetting, but when I want a lens to be usable, I do not want to be restricted to only certain focal distances and apertures. Above 25mm on that lens is fine, below is not.

I have a Kern Vario-Switar 12.5-100mm zoom and Bolex EL Super16.

When I set the lens at the wide position 12.5mm, and minimum the focus(4 feet from the object), it will have a few ?black shadow? cover all the corner?..is this len not ok for S16?

The lens need to Mod. for S16?
