  1. How long will the low ASA films last frozen? I would guess that low speed films like 50D and 100T should last many years before ambient radiation fogging becomes an issue? Does this sound correct? My domestic freezer seems to be around -25 Celcius. What does the cycling of temperature in a frost free freezer do to the film? Thanks From, Henry.
  2. It is possible that it could be used with a flat base adapter however this might create problems where the lens is too high above the support. The lens support is located below the level of the mounting base. It would be further below when a flat base adapter is added. Henry.
  3. Thankyou for the replies. It sounds like it is a lens support. I don't think the one I pictured in the original post is for an Arri2b or c as it doesn't have a hole for the handgrip motor. It must be for another camera. I would however like to buy one for an Arri2b or c, please e-mail me with a photo to: radioencryption@hotmail.com Thanks from, Henry.
  4. Hi, I hope someone can help me with this. What is the mystery Arri item in the attached photo? Is it a Matte box support? For what camera? It is black "crinkle" painted aluminium. Thanks From, Henry.
  5. Hi All, I wondered if there is an owners/operators manual around for the Arri 2B or 2C? I have the service manual and have also seen the Arriflex 35 book. Neither seem to cover the basics of threading the camera/magazines or on the other operations of the camera. Can anyone help with this? My e-mail is: radioencryption@hotmail.com Thanks From, Henry.
  6. Hi, I've been wondering if anyone here is using metal halide's?? They seem like relatively inexpensive solution. I was thinking of a 150W halide with an OSRAM Powertronic ballast for film use. Here is a link which seems to indicate that this is possible. Link to article on CDMH lights Henry.
