  1. Hi guys, I need a help with the breakdown of this setup. And what filter was used for the light blue/green sources outdoor? Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the advices and experiences about C300s. I've never shot with the C300 before and I was a bit concerned about the codec. I will shoot in Lebanon and the rental house we are dealing with has nothing in middle way (in term of prices and quality) between the C300mkII and the Arri Amira. It is a big step in terms of quality, but also in terms of budget. Do you think I should convince my team to make the upgrade? Thanks !
  3. Hi everybody, my question is: in situation of low light condition (in my case, I'm shooting in a cave where my key light is a small fireplace), does the 4k respond in a worse way than the full hd?. Cameras in question: Canon C300 mark I, and Canon C300 mark II I'm doing this question because with 4K the pixels in the sensor should be more compressed than with Full HD. Consequently, each pixel should be capable to capture less amount of light than the pixels with Full HD. Is this argument right? Thanks!
  4. Hi everybody, in few week I'm going to shoot a fashion advertisement for a company (1.30 min video). The script is about three girls (business, casual and artistic) followed during their ordinary day. (waking up dressing and live the day) It will be my first fashion video so I would like to take any tips from you regarding lights (what kind of lights are usually nice with fashion) camera shots ( dolly tracks or is better stay still ), tight lenses or wide etc. I will be shooting with a Sony f3 lenses 18mm - 21mm - 25mm - 28mm - 35mm - 50mm - 85mm thank you!
  5. Actually, yes. I also tried to do it but i couldn't pull focus well while moving forward for two reasons: 1) I was using the cheapest DSLR and i couldn't see well the LCD 2) I am a newbie and maybe even with the best DSLR of the world I couldn't realize the shot
  6. It's nice to learn from you guys, thanks again. I have a doubt, does the parfocal lens still let you make the focus-shift effect (from character's head to the book) or is the whole scene already on focus at the same way? I wanted the scene to end with the zoom and focus to the book and the rest of the details in shot blurred but I'm not sure wether you can get the blur effect with this lens or not. Do you see the idea?
  7. Thanks, I didn't know what a parfocal lense was, now it's clear. By the way, on that shot I couldn't use a tripod because it was a 50 seconds shot with a movement from the front of the character to his back and then to the book. Maybe too hard to realize with no equipment!
  8. Hi everybody, I was making an amatorial short film for school and I had this shot where the character was seated on a chair reading a book. The camera was at his back and I wanted to change the focus from the character's head to the page of the book while at the same time zooming in it. Since I was using a cheap DSLR I couldn't hold the camera and at the same time deal with zoom and focus of the lense. How this shoot should have been done? Ps: I'm not a native English, I'm sorry for some grammatical errors! Thanks
