About Me
I operate Ryerson University's b&w film processing lab. We've run 16 neg & print twice a week since 1969, now with 2K scans and the occasional 35mm neg process.
I am also Film & Video Preservation Technician for Ryerson's Film Preservation graduate program.
Previous film processing work included many years of hand-processing b&w and colour reversal, then operating ECN and ECP processors at Technicolor's Vancouver and Toronto labs.
A lifetime ago I acted as Studio Cameraman and Master Control Operator at CHBC-TV, long enough ago that video was analog and a Commodore 64 ran the station's timecode. Surprisingly useful when dealing with legacy video preservation.
