  3. So the title pretty much explain the inquire here, and altho I think I do know the answer, I would like to ask the community.

Last month i was using a sony rxo mkii that had been modded to take C mount lenses by panavision, and this gave me a bit of hope, as there is almost nothing impossible if there is someone keen to try.

Thanks everyone for reading, looking forward to read your comments

  4. Hello everyone

Pretty impossible to find a manual of this lens anywhere, before sending it to a technician, I was wondering if anyone know if is possible to manually adjust the back focus so the lens stays sharp all the way.

Lens came back from a job as is now incapable of doing it, so wondering what option could be.

So far has proven to be a tough one to be able to answer.

    Thanks everyone in advance

  5. Available this set of 6 lenses Zeiss Standard Speed, all PL original mount. 16/24/32/50/85/135mm

Smooth pleasing image with cool color rendition and medium contrast. Both focus and iris ring feature 0.8mm gearing. The Standard Speeds are vintage cinema lenses that have been an industry standard for decades. Their older optical designs, vintage glass and coatings are the perfect recipe to take some of the edge off of digital cameras, and they are incredibly flattering on faces. Special mention when using them with the Sony Venice cameras, which I personally find a perfect match. No vignetting at 4k in any of the lenses. For some reason the color science of the Sony Venice manages to get the most out of these lenses.

In the other hand, when shooting 4K UHD and 3.2K in your Alexa Mini you will find that the 16mm and the 32mm do vignette slightly on the corners from time to time.

Using the Red Komodo, you would only suffer a slight vignetting with the 16mm when shooting 6k 17:9. This gets immediately fixed when changing to 16:9 mode. The rest of the lenses can all shoot 6K 17:9 without a problem

Standard Speeds were used on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Monster's Ball, and Roger Deakins used them to shoot Fargo. They have a classic look thanks in part to their older coatings and iris design which delivers beautiful flares and a unique bokeh when stopped down. As a bonus, they are some of the smallest and lightest cinema lenses available (most of them weighing about 450grams), which makes them one of the best choices for gimbal or drone use.

Like the Zeiss Super Speeds or the Lomo Illuminas, these lenses dont really like clip on matte boxes, but for some reason this set can handle it pretty well as long as you dont have all you filter trays filled. Using a strong motor will be able to deal this ocasional issue. Tilta motors can deal with this without an issue, and cmotion motors should be able too when adjusting the torque to its highest level.

Asking price for the set is 25.000£

You can observe in the pictures that the 24mm has visible lines to the eye in the front glass, probably from some project where they decided to experiment with it. This altho doesn't affect the image at all. This has been tested. I do have another 24mm on my shelves, so if you prefer this option the final price would be 28.000£

    Prices excluding VAT. UK Based

Lenses were serviced last year at Ovide's rental house in Spain. These lenses were manufactured in the 1980's so they all show some minor signs of wear and tear. Focus rings and perfectly attached and smooth, and iris are smooth without oil signs. Please visit this link and let me know if you have questions or offers.

  6. Hi everyone, I live in the UK and I was wondering where do you AC's usually get your precision tools?

Every now and then we face this common issue of having a lens with a late focus response, because of the barrel missing a couple of screws...so I was thinking, time to get this in my kit.

    Any preferences?

    thanks in advance
