Mahesh Narayanan

Born in a small town in Kerala, Mahesh Narayanan after completing his graduation from the Adayar Fim Institute,  started off as an advert Editor. He quickly progressed to documentaries, short films followed by features. His editorial debut “Rathrimazha” bagged National award for the best director and five Kerala State Awards. Having rapidly climbed the ladder as a renowned editor in the Indian Film Industry, Mahesh proved his expertise in writing as well through the film“Mili”, which has opened to rave reviews in Kerala.

In 2017, Mahesh Narayanan progressed into film-making directing his debut feature Take Off, a 2017 Indian drama thriller film, based on the ordeal of Indian nurses in the city of Tikrit, Iraq.

The film was awarded with the prestigious Silver Peacock(Special Jury) at the 48^th International Film Festival of India. The film won two National awards and five Kerala State Awards including the Best Debut Director's Award for Mahesh Narayanan.

During the lockdown period Mahesh Narayanan made a film titled C U Soon, India's first screen based feature, which was released by Amazon Prime Video. "C U Soon" was screened under the category of screen-life at the 42nd Moscow International Film Festival.
