On that note, any tips for development in Australia? A cursory google search shows Neglab and Rewind Photo Lab. I don't know much about the Australasian analog film scene, but in Germany the last big lab (Andec) offers student discounts.
Hi Maxim - I'm one of the few film shooters here in New Zealand. I send most of my projects to Neglab in Sydney via DHL and have never had a problem. Werner at Neglab does a very good job of processing. I usually get him to forward the negs on to Memorylab in Melbourne for scanning. Memorylab is really good and affordable.
I recently flew from Auckland to LA with about 6x rolls of exposed 16mm and managed to avoid the airports scanners, but it did seem like I got lucky with security staff - it's a bit of a risk.
Enjoy Aotearoa,

Hi Rick, I have a Canon 8-64 for sale. Email ezrasimons@gmail.com with an offer if you're interested.

Selling my Canon Super 16mm T2.4 PL mount zoom lens.
Famously used on 'Hurtlocker'.
$6000 USD + Shipping from New Zealand.Serial 10035
Comes in large sturdy hardcase (although optional, as it will make shipping much more expensive).
Only selling because I ended up with two of these lenses.
Condition is nice - some external nicks and scratches from years of use but the glass is in really good shape. I haven't tested this one with film, but the previous owner showed me some footage with it, I can share upon request. Previous owner used it only a handful of times and stored it in a humidity controlled environment since its purchase from cameramarket.eu in 2012.
I have recently sold some items internationally to frequent users of cinematography.com so could happily get seller references if required.

Hi Danner - I have the superspeed mk1 set and Canon 8-64 (for my Aaton XTR) and am considering adapting them to my BMPCC4k too. Considering the metabones too, but it's quite pricey. How did you go with the Canon 11.5-138 on the BMPCC4k? Do you have any footage to show? Thanks

Hi all,
I just got a set of Super Speed Mk1 lenses in S16 format. 9.5mm, 12mm, 16mm and 25mm. I'm just wondering whether anyone can point me in the direction of the best focus gears and 80mm step up rings for these lenses? If anyone knows the sizes for these upgrades that'd be very helpful too,Thanks!

I've recently acquired an Arri SR1. It has a 2x 11 pin plugs as in this photo. Was this an after market modification or did some SR1s come with an 11 pin socket where the 7 pin socket usually is? It's made in Germany, Serial Number 616XXThanks,

Hi all! First post here. I've just acquired some Mitchell 16mm mount Cooke Kinetal lenses, 9mm, 17mm, 25mm & 35mm. I was wondering about adapting them to either my Bolex Rex 4 or Bmpcc4k - any ideas if there are adapters on the market for such lenses?
Thanks very much.
