On that note, any tips for development in Australia? A cursory google search shows Neglab and Rewind Photo Lab. I don't know much about the Australasian analog film scene, but in Germany the last big lab (Andec) offers student discounts.

Hi Maxim - I'm one of the few film shooters here in New Zealand. I send most of my projects to Neglab in Sydney via DHL and have never had a problem. Werner at Neglab does a very good job of processing. I usually get him to forward the negs on to Memorylab in Melbourne  for scanning. Memorylab is really good and affordable.

I recently flew from Auckland to LA with about 6x rolls of exposed 16mm and managed to avoid the airports scanners, but it did seem like I got lucky with security staff - it's a bit of a risk.

    Enjoy Aotearoa,

    Ezra

  2. Selling my Canon Super 16mm T2.4 PL mount zoom lens.

    Famously used on 'Hurtlocker'.

$6000 USD + Shipping from New Zealand.

    Serial 10035

Comes in large sturdy hardcase (although optional, as it will make shipping much more expensive).

Only selling because I ended up with two of these lenses.

Condition is nice - some external nicks and scratches from years of use but the glass is in really good shape. I haven't tested this one with film, but the previous owner showed me some footage with it, I can share upon request. Previous owner used it only a handful of times and stored it in a humidity controlled environment since its purchase from cameramarket.eu in 2012.

I have recently sold some items internationally to frequent users of cinematography.com so could happily get seller references if required.

  3. Hey guys,

I've recently acquired an Arri SR1. It has a 2x 11 pin plugs as in this photo. Was this an after market modification or did some SR1s come with an 11 pin socket where the 7 pin socket usually is? It's made in Germany, Serial Number 616XX

    Thanks,

    Ezra
