I'll Be moving back to SoCAL in Jan / Feb, if you guys are having the workshops in L.A by then,
Can i Come?
Although, I dont know how i could contribute, I would most likely be that guy with a note pad, fixing my glasses while constantly taking notes...

Hello, I might be relocating to the SD area after the start of the year. Are there any Labs in the SD county?
or will i have to resort to taking the drive north. I've been looking, and keep coming up empty, any help?

Hi, thanks for all the usefull info,
Like most student filmmakers, I constantly search for K-3's and other equipment on ebay. Has anybody had trouble with buying a K-3, or is it just with the older highend cameras?
Also...
hell, should i just save up and buy a new super16 K-3, and if so, how "New" would it be?
thanks -

Thank you David, that makes sense.. any suggestions on creating contrast..( flagging, stronger keys..etc)?
I really just want to use the overheads as ambient lighting.

Forgive me davidWY for twisting your question....
I am producing a 16mm short film which has scenes inside a Grocery store. I am thinking about shooting the whole film in 7222 or 7231 B&W negative. If i use the overheads (which are fluorecents) will i be okay...
or is there somthing i'm missing? I undersand the green cast with "color", will this have affects in the b&w...
Again Sorry for twisting the post, didnt want to jar up the board with another one

How many of you have ever used SLR cameras as light meters for 16mm capture?
How did you go about it?
interesting, i just was having the same question about the metering, only with my n55.
i'll stay tuned

I just bought a reg8mm cam, it will be my first attempt at film, and hopfully thru trial and error, prob mostly error, i will learn how to properly light and bring my concepts to life
i'm glad to see that the stock is available, although i noticed only reversal, with very low ASA (50-100) for all stocks, will this limit my creative control?
any lighting tips?

will super8 fit in a regular 8mm camera?
