My budget is nil. I am not shooting for money, just for fun!
Any advice in this regard would be most appreciated!
---
Super-8 at 24 PFS.
Sound from a parallel mounted mini-DV camera (constantly running).
---
Once telecined, the video will be presented at 25 fps. So, there will be a significant sync gap between the audi and video signals from square one.
---
I intend to use the rattle from the 8mm mechanics to synchronise the sound and video start / end points.
Once I have calculated the length difference in millisenconds, I will squash the sound digitally to match.
I will at this point also apply a digital noice reduction filter to the audio track to reduce the rattle.
---
I will end up with video running 1 fps faster than it should and sound that is slightly higher pitched.
But at almost zero cost, it can't be too bad?

Thanks for the feedback!
Well, I guess the only real way to find out is to have it done...
I'll post some samples and comments when done!

I have seen what this film looks like in TeleCine and I love it!
What does this film look like when printed to positive?
I am not sure which exact stock / process the lab will be using, but I am willing to spend a bit of money to get this done properly.

I have an up coming project that I would shoot in either Ektachrome 64 or Vision 200. I prefer the less noisy colour negative, since I am not too bothered about the "film look". BUT I would still like the option of projecting it. If the on-light print from Vision 200 are on par with shooting straight reversal, I don't mind spending extra cash to get it done this way.
Any thoughts?
