  1. Same. It has been a while since I replaced them. I will do that and see if that fixes the issue
  2. Oh I see. That's good to know. Do you have any advice on picking out cells?
  3. Update: It seems to be my power supply. I tested the voltage, and it does go down to around 6.7v when I run the camera. Thanks everyone for the information!
  4. I'll take a look at the voltage. It's definitely a possibility. I'm using a DIY NiMH battery pack rated at 2500mAh. My camera power cable doesn't come with the ground cable unfortunately. I'll try to ground it with an alligator clip directly to my battery pack
  5. Hello all, I'm posting here because I've been having some issues running my magazine motor on my Arri 16. I have an 8V torque motor for the magazine and an 8V constant speed motor for the camera. For context, the 8V torque motor will run fine when I apply power directly to the contacts, but will not run when I have it connected to the camera. I checked the voltage at the magazine contact and ground on the top of the camera when the camera is running, and I only read a maximum of 6.7V. Does anyone know if this is a common issue with these cameras? Would the culprit most likely be the constant speed motor, the internal circuitry, the contacts between the magazine and camera, or something else? Neal
  6. Sort of. Mine doesn't have the Cue Marker lamp (2). Do you know what the pinout is?
  7. I just purchased an Arriflex 16S/B-GS in fantastic condition, and looking forward to shooting with it. I was wondering if anyone could give me any more information about the sync module on the side, like how it works, what cables and equipment you would need to use it, and whether its possible to use the signal for digital sound.
  8. I'm curious about all the costs associated with doing this
  9. Lense: https://www.ebay.com/itm/314884738030 Camera Body: https://www.ebay.com/itm/314884806887 Feel free to make offers. Thanks! (Please let me know if this sort of post is not allowed.)
  10. I am in the process of selling off an Arriflex 16S. Initially, I was going to use the money to get an S/B so I could have a wider choice of lenses and something in slightly better cosmetic condition, but now I'm wondering if I should be considering an Eclair NPR, since it's supposed to be quieter, usually crystal controlled, and more ergonomic , which means I could use it on a wider range of projects. The problem is, investing in an NPR would be a bit of a jump into the deep end for me. I don't know much about it, and I can't find much information online. Additionally, I'm more familiar with how to use the Arri/what accessories are available for it. I'm curious what you guys think about either camera.
  11. Cool thanks for the information. I’m not sure I understand the terminology though. I’ll admit I don’t have any experience in this area. Do you have any advice on how I could get to the point where I would be able to do this procedure?
  12. Hello, I'm genuinely really curious about what servicing an Arri myself would take. Anyone here willing to share their experience? Thanks! Neal
  13. Looking for an S/B CLA'd and preferably with an XLR conversion, body only. Thank you, Neal
  14. Arriflex 16S Body has been CLA'd by Du-All camera. Feel free to offer. I am located in the Chicago area.
  15. Thanks for the response. I know it's probably unrealistic, but if I were able to find an S/B turret and I decided to go through with this, do you know what I would need to do it properly?
  16. Hello everyone, I was just wondering if the above is even possible or sensible. If so, I was wondering what I would need, and how much it would cost me. Thanks! Neal
  17. Looking to purchase a head for a Manfrotto 290 tripod.
  18. Thanks. Could you tell me what models are on the cheaper end?
  19. Hello, I'm looking for information regarding what sort of crystal motors exist for the Arriflex 16S, which are the best, and how much they are generally. Thanks in advance, Neal
