  1. So you’re a filmmaker entering post-production on your film, a game developer working on music and audio triggers or perhaps a YouTuber wanting to enhance your videos. You need SFX and a music soundtrack but you might not have the budget to hire a professional composer or audio engineer. Can you still have a great commercial soundtrack and great SFX for your project utilizing only free resources? Definitely. Quick story about why I am writing this article: I was producing my first video game 2 years ago: an interactive horror visual novel. I was designing everything in-house: m

  5. Hello all, While I was composing music for my short film, I came across an interesting song that I eventually covered with an acoustic guitar. I was so amazed by how great my cover sounds and fits into my film, that I would like to keep it; however, the original song is copyrighted... So my question is, could I implement my cover to the score of the film? A few things to note: -I will be submitting this film to various film festivals -I did not sing any of the original lyrics (nor any lyrics at all, for that matter), I simply strung a guitar to the same tune as the song -If this

  7. Hey, My name's Francesco, I'm an artist and music composer currently working in London. I've been reading this forum for a year now, always been a fan of cinematography and lightning even if I work in a totally different branch in the film industry. I have a window of time this February and March and since I'm looking to expand my IMDB credits, I'd like to do a small pro bono work in exchange of a music composer credit. So if you're a director and your short movie is now in the editing process, consider taking five minutes and listen to some of my tracks to see if my style suits your
