Davon Slininger
Does anyone know of a place to get 35mm stock cut down to 16mm? I have a ton of 35mm short ends from previous productions and could really use them to supplement a super16 project I am doing. A place like pro8mm.com will cut down to super8 but not 16. Any ideas? Patrick Neary
Hi- I doubt anybody does that, you can't just cut the film in half and run it through a camera. 35 perfs are different than 16, which means you would only be able to cut and perf a single strip from the middle of the 35. It might be easier to just get ahold of a 35 camera and shoot your big stunning wide landscape shots with that, mixing it with the S-16? (it's all going through a telecine or DI, right?) Or trade stocks with someone :)
