DS Williams
http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t...618&page=15 There is the thread. Very exciting. We'll see what happens. I'm hoping for a possible update to the HPX500, in the $15,000 range. I don't think it will be the "true" full raster successor to the HVX200, seeing that the HPX170 was just released in the $5,500 price range. What features/qualities would you like to see in this camera?

Saul Rodgar
In a field of its own? Full size camera with one of the smallest size sensors available (1/3") . . . hum. Panasonic is going backwards, it seems.

Panasonic is going backwards, it seems. Don't be so quick to assume. Not everyone can afford to rent an HPX3000. And this is the only full raster camera provided by panasonic under 30k. Yeah, the sensor is small, and it's CMOS (rolling shutter) But I think the benefits of a near D-5 quality codec outweight the cons, in a 10 thousand dollar cam with lens included.
