How to shoot a specific thing.

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering how you would shoot the pages of a book as someone turns them and you can clearly read the information on the pages.

I'm thinking an overhead god's-eye-view type of shot. How to light it evenly and clearly is something I'm not quite sure how to do. I've got a great 10mm lens that has been used for a lot of animation, sure this will be perfect.

Anyone ever done this?

Thanks in advance, ladies and gentlemen.

Nick.

I'm not sure what format you're shooting, but a 10mm in 35mm will be way too wide...too much distortion and you'll have to be so close to the book to read the writing that you won't be able to turn the pages. Just guessing I'd think a 40mm would be about right to get the over head shot you're talking about.
