DALSA Digital Cinema to Award HDFEST Deffie Award Winner with Origin® Package

HDFEST and DALSA Digital Cinema announced that the winner of the HDFEST Deffie Award for Best Short Film will receive a special awards package from DALSA Digital Cinema. The winner will receive his/her choice of one weeks free use of either an Origin® camera package with digital lab services to be provided by DALSA or an HD camera package plus one day of personalized training on the Origin 4K camera and workflow tools. The HDFEST Deffie Awards are held annually recognizing the year's outstanding achievements in High-Definition filmmaking and we are pleased to provide this year's recipient with a look beyond HD into the 4K future of filmmaking . On Sunday December 4th, the HDFEST Deffie Award winners will be announced at 10:30pm during HDFEST Los Angeles 2005 Presented by Intel.

 

The awards ceremony will be held at the Dolby Laboratories' Larry Umlang Presentation Theatre II in Burbank. John Coghill, Vice President & General Manager of DALSA Digital Cinema will be on hand at HDFEST Sunday night to present the award at HDFEST.

 

HDFEST's Goals

HDFEST Los Angeles 2005 Presented by Intel will be held at Dolby Laboratories' Larry Umlang Presentation Theatre II in Burbank and ETC's Digital Cinema Lab at the Hollywood Pacific Theatre is located at 6433 Hollywood Blvd. Since 2000, HDFEST has been presenting the world's best in High-Definition cinema and independent HD filmmaking. The festival screens HD films created exclusively using HD technology, all festival material is also presented using HD projection equipment. At HDFEST panels and seminars also take place about digital cinema and HD filmmaking. The HDFEST 2005 World Tour takes place in Los Angeles, London, New York, Helsinki, Fort Lauderdale and Hämeenlinna.
