Lucy Davis
I am a Film Student, and for my final major project I will be making a short film. i will be using Cannon XM2's to shoot with, but i am wondering how i can get the best types of Point of View shots. i want these POV shots of when the characters are thinking to themselves, kinda like on a British comedy drama called Peep Show. All coments are welcome. and heres a link http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/m...es/P/peep_show/
Daniel Madsen
The phase "point of view" is often used incorrectly. Try to explain the effect you are trying to create.
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted January 25, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted January 25, 2006 Point of view shot tends to mean that the camera position assumes the viewpoint of the character. It sounds more like you're talking about cutting to something imagined by the character? (Which of course could also be shot from the point of view of the character.)
