CraigTarry
Hello, I'm trying to create a short slow motion sequence using the Panasonic DVX100A. In his book "The DVX Book", Barry Green says to use 30P fottage in a 24P timeline and slow it down to 80% to make it smooth. For slower footage, he recommends using 60i footage in a 24p timeline, slowed down to 40%. So, how do you slow down the 24p timeline? Thanks - Craig
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted January 24, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted January 24, 2006 Hi, Well if you're determined to do it in Premiere, then that's a question the manual or help files can answer. You should, however, look into shooting it as 60i and then bob-deinterlacing it. This can get you something very close to 60 real frames a second at the cost of 50% vertical resolution. It's been talked about on the forum before and the tools to do it are free. Phil
