Steven Wyatt
Hi, I'm really having trouble deciding on what would be an ideal camera to purchase with the budget that I have. Being a film student i've very little money to spare and with my budget my options are down to: - Sony PD170p - Panasonic DVX100a - Sony FX1E I've procured a micro35 adaptor thanks to redrock micro; and my intention would be to utilise this system to shoot short films. I would be curious to hear peoples comments here. Regards, Steven
Premium Member Elhanan Matos Posted January 27, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted January 27, 2006 You should do a search on each of those cameras on this site, and see what other people have said before. We see new posts like these at least once a week.
Canney
I wouldn't go with the HDR-FX1e. That camera is kind of a stripped down and the PD-170 and DVX-100 give you way more proffesional options in terms of audio. The PD-170 can also film with very little light and can maintian a good grain in picture with very little noise under low light. If your going to be using your camera with film I would say the get DVX-100 because it can shoot true 24p. My camera of choice would be the PD-170 personally. But yeah you should look around more.
