Leon Rodriguez Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Today I was going to a handheld shot on my Arri 16BL so went to change the eyepiece from my offset to my periscope and couldn't get the eyepiece off. Doesn't appear to be cross-threaded but it seems to be really jammed on. I don't want to force the silver ring with a tool for fear of damaging the threads. Any suggestions (other than buying a seperate eyepiece for the periscope)? Is there a good place to send it? If the threads got damaged somehow, are they repairable? Any common experience?
Mitch Gross Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Sears sells a rubberstrap hose clamp that is perfect for this. It wraps around round (or not) objects and evenly applies pressure in all directions. This should get it off without damage.
