My favorite knot right now ( I've become obsessed for some reason) is the truckers hitch- basically a ratchet strap made of rope. What a wonderful knot....just wonderful. I was on a shoot recently that had some stunt guys rigging up all kinds of stunts, but I was mostly amazed at the ease at which they tied their knots. Very impressive...
