Tripod Threadding

I've got a bogen tirpod, fits normal video cameras/still cameras, and an arriflex 16bl, and I want to adapt the one to fit the other. What size are the threadings? I don't want to lug both of them into the camera store to test out different adapters.

You can get a new bolt for the tripod plate. Still cameras and consumer video cameras have 1/4"-20 threads, pro video and film cameras usually have this plus a 3/8"-16. There are thread adapters but they get stuck in the camera and they never come out again.
