David Sweetman
I've got a bogen tirpod, fits normal video cameras/still cameras, and an arriflex 16bl, and I want to adapt the one to fit the other. What size are the threadings? I don't want to lug both of them into the camera store to test out different adapters. thanks
Premium Member Luke Prendergast Posted June 4, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted June 4, 2006 You can get a new bolt for the tripod plate. Still cameras and consumer video cameras have 1/4"-20 threads, pro video and film cameras usually have this plus a 3/8"-16. There are thread adapters but they get stuck in the camera and they never come out again.
