Steven Wyatt
Hello out there, I'm shooting a short film in two weeks time and as the title suggests, i'm using two 2000w lights, which are going to be fitted with an RCD each, so that they can utilise the 13amp powersupply. Is this a 'safe' thing to do? Apologies for my lack of knowlege in this matter, but i'm hoping some people could shed some light on the matter. You comments are greatly appreciated. Regards, Steven

Regards, Steven Hi, I assume you are in the UK! 2 seperate plugs drawing 2000w on 1 ring main will work so long as there are not too many other things plugged in to the same circuit. If it's a fused spur it will blow! I don't think an RCD will make a difference. Both lights can't run through 1 x 13amp fuse. Stephen
