Leo Anthony Vale
are there Anamorphic adaptors availobale to 16mm cameras? so that finally a 35mm anamorphic release print be made for theatrical release? Look for Kowa 16H/8Z on eBay. You'll have to make your own mounting bracket. I know someone who used one on a Nikkor on an Eyemo stunt camera in a Jackie Chan rodeo movie. The results were quite good. You'll have to focus both the backing lens and the attachment. ---LV
Bernhard Zitz
this http://www.lonesomecowboys.be/ was done with a Kowa 16-H on Eclair NPR, it was for video only, check under videos in wideangle you'll get some barreldistortion, 20mm (like 10mm in non-anamorphic) is the widest you can go without vignetting. The Kowa 16-H eats 1/3 stops, in 16mm 2x anamorphic is 2.66 wide, in 35mm you have to crop to 2.35 Kowa 16-H is the same as Kowa 8-Z

Leo Anthony Vale
P S. what will be the aspect ratio of the blowup release print, from the 16mm anamorphic neg to 35mm anamorphic blowup release print? ---It would be the normal C'Scope aspect ratio, 2.35/1, 2.4/1. Use the sides of the TV safe area for framing. ---LV

Murthy ---it can be blown up to any size. 2.2x is the usual for regular16 to academy. In this case it would be 2.5X for regular 16 to full frame. With the 2.2x the AR would be 2.66/1. ---LV
