beginner's canon 310xl

a week ago i bought a canon 310xl at an antique fair and entered the world of super 8. althought i was unable to find a manual i have gathered a general idea of the camera's basic functions from a number of different sites. the problem that i have now is that i'm not sure if this camera is compatible with the kodak txr-464 tri-x reversal black and white film that i recently bought. rather than shooting with this film and coming up empty handed i thought i would first ask for any suggestions.

 

basically what i'm asking is if anyone who is familiar with this camera or one similar has any tips for the beginner, if they have any specific film recommendations and, lastly, any suggestions on developing and/or digital transfers for ease of editing.

The Tri-X should work fine. It's compatible with most cameras ever made.
