  1. I recently found a number of my family's super 8 films and am looking to convert them to a digital format for editing. Does anyone have a suggestion of a company they are familiar with that does high quality conversions for relatively cheap? I have already found a number of companies on the web advertising super 8 conversion but I thought I would ask here to see if any were preferred.
  2. Thank you for your suggestions. I will probably look into a Minolta for now, upgrading to a Nizo when the job provides. If any one has a link to some super 8 time-lapse scenes they have made please post.
  3. It seems that my first post is not loading. I will paste it below just in case. Thanks for any advice or suggestions. "I was wondering if some one could recommend a resonably priced (~150) super 8 camera capable of time-lapse photography. I have browsed the internet a bit looking for a camera with a built in motor for doing time-lapse, but I was unable to find anything"

  5. a week ago i bought a canon 310xl at an antique fair and entered the world of super 8. althought i was unable to find a manual i have gathered a general idea of the camera's basic functions from a number of different sites. the problem that i have now is that i'm not sure if this camera is compatible with the kodak txr-464 tri-x reversal black and white film that i recently bought. rather than shooting with this film and coming up empty handed i thought i would first ask for any suggestions. basically what i'm asking is if anyone who is familiar with this camera or one similar has any tips for the beginner, if they have any specific film recommendations and, lastly, any suggestions on developing and/or digital transfers for ease of editing. many thanks.
