Brant Collins
I just had someone lend me a Rex 1. They do not know how to use it and if I like the footage from it, he will sell it to me. It has 5 lenses. I do not know how to load, or much else about the camera. Is there a free manuel online? Thanks

Steve Zimmerman
More specific loading instructions http://www.rit.edu/~crbpph/load.html I own a Rex 1, It's a nice little camera. I used it for MOS shots for a couple of school projects which ran over schedule, and we couldn't get the school's Arri 16BL. The mixed footage tooked pretty close. Douglas Hunter
One thing you should know about the rex 1 is that some important parts for the camera are no longer made such as the main (spring) drive motor. So if that goes out all you can do is replace it with another from an older camera, but since all rex 1's are quite old the quality of salvaged parts is going to be iffy. Other than that I think the rex 1 is a great camera, I got a lot of use out of mine before it died. Now I've got lenses, extension tubes, compendium etc with no camera to use them on.
