Matt Pacini
This is a friend of a friend who probably not coincidentally used to work at panavision and has an older 35mm model. I thought they only rented their cameras, but was told that long ago they let some of their older ones go. Is this always a suspicious thing? Did they ever sell their cameras? Mitch Gross
They have sold off some of their older models and secondary accessories, but there's very little of it out there. What does your friend have?
Premium Member Brad Grimmett Posted July 16, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted July 16, 2004 I know a few people who have some of the accessories. One friend even has an old gear head with "Panavision Grips" written on it. I've never heard of someone owning a camera though. That lens that someone stole and tried to sell on ebay was the biggest I've seen.
Christian Appelt
They must have made some exceptions - how about the 65mm Super Panavision model SC camera (used on LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, maybe on Ultra Panavision films too) that is for sale here: Panavision SC 65mm
