using the genesis filter holder

(Answering to myself...)

I've done some tests yesterday with a Genesis and the standards Primos Lenses:

you can use the filter holder with some 40,5mm circular filters (no gels like in Panavison film cameras)

you have a tool to insert your filter in the mount just in front of the sensor, the filter is fixed with a magnetic circular ring.

The problem is that you lose the focus and you can't use it under the 27mm. From the 27mm the focus can be made but you've got a very strong gap: for example to get the infinity you have to set your lens at 3'6! And you don't get the focus in the short distances.

The gap is decreasing as you tighten the focal lenth.

So i would recommend not to use it except with long lenses and if you have no choice.

My problem was to filter the Primo 10mm, with a Vista 2 ratio. So my only opportunity is to put some 9"X9" filters with a part of the original 10mm clip-on (i've made it shorter) and the filters are just taped on the clip-on! Old scool way!
