Evan Winter
just ran across this on the world wide intarweb. it's a music video shot entirely with canon's eos 50D slr stills camera. i would love to see if playing from in full resolution (if it went to tv it's prob. mastered on digibeta) to compare the image to other acquisition formats. i'm going to try to embed the youtube video. this will likely not work and so a regular link will appear below the embed attempt. evan winter
Jon Kukla
I seem to remember that Yelena Yemchuk did something similar for the music video of The Smashing Pumpkins "Thirty Three" music video - she used a stills film camera with a special back that held oversized cartridges and was connected to a lower-speed motor (maybe 3 fps?). Anyway, looks interesting, but why bother using an SLR instead of cutting out frames from video? Budget?
Eric Dinger
Canon doesn't make a 50D. Was the whole thing shot on a still camera, or just the photos in the video?
Evan Winter
sorry and good point - i meant to write 5D. also, the entire thing was shot using the 5D.
