Time Code In Monitor

Hi guys I know in order to see characters such as Time Code in the monitor you have to have the "Character Out" switch on. I have done that but still do not see time code in monitor. I have tried both outs . Is there an item buried in the menu somewhere that I am missing?

Hi

I'm currently camera assisting on a VariCam feature and I have had the same problem.

Could you please explain how you did it? I too have tried all the TC settings in the menu and both HD SDI Outs but nothing seems to work.

Go to the VTR Main menu.

Select the Function menu.

Select the Character Out on SDI menu.

Switch to Status (instead of Menu).

Now everything (except framelines) that appears in the viewfinder will appear on the monitor.

Is there any way to turn the "Low Light" warning off in the viewfinder?

Yes, it's in the viewfinder menu. You can adjust the exposure level at which it will come on. We typically have it set at 35 IRE but you can dial it down to OFF.
