Guest Michael Emmett
Okay, basic question... What is the most common type of lighting used in film? Is it incandescent, fluorescent, HID, quartz or something else? Thank you all. Edited January 22, 2007 by Michael Emmett

Standard practice: NIGHT INT- Tungsten (incandescent) DAY EXT- HMI (mercurymedium arc iodide) DAY INT- HMI w/ Tungsten suppliment NIGHT EXT- HMI and Tungsten So the answer is: It depends on what you are doing. Again these are generalizations that of course can be altered.
