Need some more info here - format, shooting ratio, editing time estimate (if possible), what kind of client, your experience level... etc. Even then I can't personally give a good answer, but I doubt anyone can with so little info to go on. HD (NOT HDV, true HD) would be more. ??? $40 an hour, that's an assistant wage. and it makes no difference what format you are editing on if you are offline editing, which is the assumption i make from the initial post.
