Color Saturation

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I bet this subject has come up before.

Is there a general consensus as to what stocks offer the highest color saturation.

I know it could be subjective. I personally like 5248.

Haven't worked with the Fuji stocks.

What do you guys think?

Thanks

Generally, the older 5245, 5248, 5274, and 5279 are considered to have slightly more contrast and saturation, especially when compared to 5212, 5217, and 5218. Many prefer the color and tone scale of the new VISION2 films for most projects, but others (e.g., Tony Brown) like the older VISION film characteristics for the "look" they have.

Just shot some tests with 7245, wanted high saturation and got it (with a little hellp from an already saturated set) What a gorgous stock, I hope Kodak plan to keep it around for years to come.......

You and me both.

(maybe ad a Vision 2 version of '45 say ~ 200 T ??)
