Now...If someone can help me about the post prod. of this good looking film. What I want to understand is the general look of these images.... wow!!!!! Soft images, 35mm style chroma...and contrast... For now, I understand the importance of filtration in the approach of shooting..but....What else???? Please help me fast thanks. Gabriel Rochete Québec I saw muiltiple looks in this trailer. the city shots very desaturated. either shot clean then minipulated in post, or they shot on a normal matrix and lowered the chroma level. the trailer i saw was only an inch wide so it was hard to really judge if the image had any diffusion. If they used the mini35 adaptor that could soften the image,but alot of the shots dident look like they had the shallow depth of field 35mm has. The dessert scenes probly had some polorizer filter, and just the locations contrast of yellow dessert sand and saturated blue skys may have looked that way with out any image tweaking,but it was hard to tell from that small trailer. whatever your planning on shooting do tests. play around with the matrix settings,lower master peds for more contrast,polorizer filters are great. I saw the film in dvd on good tv set and the dvd include a very little making of where we can see the panasonic with matte box in, but without mini dv adaptor.
