Guest mark_baldry
I've just taken delivery of a Krasnogorsk 3 with M42 lens mount but am having problems mounting the lens on the camera. the lens screws in a couple of turns then will go no further. as far as i can tell it is not cross theaded but is striping the black paint off of the lens thread. is this a duff camera or am i doing something wrong? thanks Mark I've just taken delivery of a Krasnogorsk 3 with M42 lens mount but am having problems mounting the lens on the camera. the lens screws in a couple of turns then will go no further. as far as i can tell it is not cross theaded but is striping the black paint off of the lens thread. is this a duff camera or am i doing something wrong? thanks Mark i've done it. i wasn't being assertive enough - i thought it would be as easy as a c-mount. Patrick Cooper
Forgive me for this very obvious question but when mounting the lens, I assume that you are turning it clockwise?
Guest mark_baldry
Forgive me for this very obvious question but when mounting the lens, I assume that you are turning it clockwise? yes i was. i have got it mounted now it was just a lot stiffer than the normal c-mounts i am used to so i was frightened i was doing some damage! max sacker
This reply is a bit dated. You've probably figured this out by now. I had the same problem as well. The zoom lens will not mount if the zoom lever is close up mode. Move the zoom lever back to it's start marking (F) and the lens should mount.
