Hello,

I was hoping someone might help me out with a few questions I had about my Aaton LTR7 R16 camera. First off, can anyone offer an approximation of how much it might cost to convert the camera to Super 16? And secondly, could anyone help me establish the value of the equipment. Here's what it includes:

Camera Body: LTR 7, S/N: 727, R16, Aaton mount

Frame rates 6, 12, 16, 18, 20, 24, 25, 28, 32

24 and 25 are crystal

Internal light meter

Amphenal 9 accessory port

3/8 insert in handle

(2) Regular 16 magazine 2010, 1731

(2) 12V batteries

(1) Aaton T4 charger, S/N: 760

(1) Zeiss 25mm lens, 1.3 F stop, Bayo mount with Aaton adapter S/N: NR5885379

(1) Tiffen Pro. Wide-angle lens shade ser. 9

(1) 52mm Kenko Technical holder

(1) 58mm Tiffen Pro. 9 adapter ring

(1) 58mm Tiffen filter ND.6

(1) Sennheiser shotgun microphone

Various Audio cables:

(2) 6 ft - XLR3 to XLR3 microphone cable

(1) 14 ft - XLR3 female to (2) XLR3 males

(1) 15 ft - XLR3 female to stereo connector

(1) 6 ft - stereo connector to (2) XLR3 female

(1) 1 ft - stereo connector to (2) XLR3 female

Lastly, if i were to sell the camera, can anyone recommened a better way to go about that than ebay? Thanks for your help.

Not knowing anything about the camera or its condition, I'd guess about $4000. Nathan from our office couldgive you pricing on making the camera S-16 but it might not even be possible on such an old camera and probably not worth it. One could buy a similar S-16 Aaton for less. Sorry.

I bought a S16 LTR7 a few years back and believe that I could get anywhere from 3-4G. My pkg is different-I would keep my lenses, filters and matte box, and think I would sell the body, four mags, four batteries, and NP-1 adapter and charger for about that much. I've kept it clean and serviced at Serious Gear, most recently a month ago. You'll probably see it on ebay after I complete my honors thesis for my BFA. Good camera, a little noisy but blimpable-a good pkg to the right person.

My two cents
