Nick Norton
I was wondering if anyone knew of some sort of an 'intro to sound' book that would help me learn the basics and on completion, have more of an idea of what audio recorder/mic i'm looking for. Thanks- Nicholas
Noam Gagliardi Rabinovich
same here. any good books / websites / DVD lessons? I know sound production for music, so that helps a bit since a lot translates, especially when mixing; but I'm not happy about my knowledge of sound for film (how to record on set, overdubs, etc.). Premium Member Hal Smith Posted August 3, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted August 3, 2007 A really good survey of everything involved in sound is Tomlinson Holman's "Sound for Film and Television". You want the Second Edition with the CD. http://www.amazon.com/Sound-Film-Televisio...1414&sr=8-
