Jim Henson London closed?

I am late on this one, two years late infact, but the sad news was broken to me by a friend recently. Jim Henson's creature shop at Camden Lock in London, unarguably the most influential animatronics house in the world, had to close it's doors. Reasons were down to the strength of the pound and the lack of UK projects. I've also read that the New York branch has downsized and now the Creature Shop is based soley out of Los Angeles (originally the LA branch set up for the DINOSAURS TV show).

Does anyone know what happened to the Creature Shop digital effects department? Is that all folded now too?

This is all really sad (albeit old) news, and even though we like to remind ourselves that the UK studios are always booked with something these days, the fact that Henson has now left, a pioneering British based cinematic institution and very much part of our film heritage, it's a clear reflection of the times. An end of an era.

Very sad.
