thomas-english
Do any of these DVcam DVCpro cameras that take 1/2in or 2/3in lenses shoot in progressive scan?
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted September 26, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 26, 2004 The Panasonic SDX900 DVCPRO/DVCPRO50 camera. Also there are the IMX/XDCAM Sony cameras like the MSW900 -- I don't recall the number of the XDCAM version.
Mitch Gross
Panasonic recently introduced some standard DVCPro25 cameras that also have the 24p and 30p function. Can't recall model numbers, but I believe there was an 800 in the number and it sold for about the same as the DSR570, around $17,000 without a lens. These came out just before NAB in April. dougcall
Panasonic P2 Camera SPX800. It retails for $19,995. and I had a hands on demo of it in South Florida last week in my home. Very cool camera. Super rugged, great low-light, light weight, I loved the thumbnails selector on the viewfinder. This will shoot in 60i, 24p and 30p. It uses five P2 memory modules 4GB each for about 80 minutes of DV or DVCPRO25 video footage.
