Kirill Nersesyan Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Hi all! I have been reading sooooo much about the 24p and 25p that instead of getting a clearer picture, I simply got even more confused. When shooting HD in PAL - what would be the fps rate to deliver the "movie look"? I am planning to use JVC GY-HD111U (e). I am sorry - I know this has been discussed a lot. thx
Raymond O'Neil Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 25P for PAL, 24P is for NTSC world Hi all! Lars Zemskih Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 PAL is usually 25p, but either fps will give you a "movie look", firstly because p is "progressive" second is that the fram rate is much slower than that of normal digital recording.
Lars Zemskih Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 speaking of which, does GY-HD100 record HD on tape??
Kirill Nersesyan Posted October 9, 2007 Author Posted October 9, 2007 thanx and well yeah it records on miniDV
Guest Trevor Swaim Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 yes all of the prosumer hd cameras record hd to tape except the HVX200 which only records sd to tape and needs P2 cards to record hd footage. the others record hd footage in a codec named HDV to normal mini-DV tapes.
