Premium Member Jonathan Rho Posted October 26, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted October 26, 2007 Have any of you owner op's/editors/production companies used a 'Firestore' with the HDX900? I've only spoken with one person who has done so. Abel has taken the FireStore out of their rental inventory due to some 'user problems' or some such issue. I'd like to do something easier than capturing 'live' with Final Cut and a drive while shooting. Any feedback, problems, likes, dislikes, or suggestions regarding Firestore (or other similer options) will be most helpful. thanks, Jonathan
Saul Rodgar
No problems whatsoever. Have used several times. When you press record on the camera, the firerstore automatically follows suit, if in the right settings. An instruction manual should come with the firestore, if not you can find it online. Highly recommended!
Mitch Gross
We took it out of rental because we found it to be a poor device for rental clients who do not know how to properly handle it. For an owner/operator I'm sure it would do quite nicely.
Premium Member Jonathan Rho Posted October 27, 2007 Author Premium Member Share Posted October 27, 2007 Thanks all. Glad to hear this solution is a good one, albeit mostly for those of us geeky enough to manage it carefully. (Hmmm....ahh...sorry folks. I was mostly talking about myself here.) Have a great weekend!
