Joseph Nesbitt
I'm looking for a how to guide on how to get really good at doing make up effects I've been to alot of sites and all involve just painting the faces white, putting some charcoal stuff around the eyes and some other little stupid things that end up with a result that is less than satisfactory. Recently I checked out a DvD feature On Zach Snyder's Dawn Of The Dead in which they showed them painting up these guys but didn't really go into any depth on how to do it, so what I am asking is just to learn how to do this for a hopeful future Zombie projectl
Toby L Edwards
Joseph' There is a pretty good article in the latest "Student Filmmaker Magazine" on do it yourself Gelatin prosthetic appliances. I think there was a pretty good Behind The Scenes of the the Zombie make up on DAWN OF THE DEAD. It's probably my favorite Zombie movie. The Cinematography is excellent. And if memory serves I believe there are adds at the back of AMERICAN CINEMATOGRAPHY MAGAZINE for make up classes. Might be worth a look. Daniel Smith
I saw the title of this thread and had to jump at it... lol I've seen a few vids that are pretty cool. They aren't great but they contain some ideas that if implemented in the correct mannor, could look awesome. Good luck.
