Camera Crane....

Hi, Im actualy an editor by trade (mainly comercial and some broadcast work, using final cut studio 2 system) and I have been doing some camera work for some of the comerical jobs on the side. I recently decided that camera crane shots are a really nice way of obtaining amazing and awe inspiring shots, but comerical ones cost a fortune, and as im not even a cameraman, I thought I would have a go at making one, more of a project than anything else.

Well my project got quite out of hand and I now have a 20ft long crane with full pan tilt electronic head, it even has pre programable movments :-D

I know this is a professional forum and I am an editing professional but I just thought I would get your opinions on the crane, and with your experience suggest improvments etc etc. I have got some pretty good results from it....

Seen here with my FX1 I use for experimenting....

And here is a low quality video I took on a digital camera of the crane in action. Its quite hard to operate the joystick and the crane with one hand though....

Thanks for any advice,

Pete.
