Jase Ryan
I just bought a super 16mm camera and noticed some smudges and a couple small and light scratches on the mirror. This is my first film camera and I am new to this so I'm not sure if this is going to show up and cause any problems with the image. Can someone help clarify? Thanks, Jase
Premium Member Kevin Zanit Posted December 19, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted December 19, 2007 It won't effect the image on film, the mirror is only used for the viewing system of the camera. Its called a reflex viewfinder, do a forum search for it, I am sure there is a ton of information about it.
Allen Achterberg
It's what you don't see through the viewfinder that makes it to film. say you are shooting a scene with guns. If you see muzzle flashes through the viewfinder you might want another take!
