Parks Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 I have seen posting on IMDB about how the latest DVD made $5.3 million dollars that weekend in rentals, yet I have not been able to find out if the distributer gets any of that gross, or if they just sale the DVD to the store and they keep the profits? I seen a Company online called Rentrak which is suppose to somehow handle DVD leasing from the major studios. I thought Home Video Profit Sharing / Leasing went out with the VHS? Am I wrong?
