Mike Daly
Hi, I'm wanting to get a crystal sync conversion done for my Canon Scoopic M. 'The Film Group' do the conversion for $475. http://members.aol.com/fmgp/sync10.htm Anyone had a Scoopic (or other 16mm camera) converted by The Film Group? If so, can you recommend them? Also, are there any other options out there for Scoopics in need of a crystal sync? (something in Australia would be ideal - but maybe that's wishful thinking) thanks, Mike. For roughly twice the price of conversion, you have a good chance of finding an Eclair NPR on eBay or somewhere, which will give you better lens options among other things that'll help smooth out your future prods. True, but a crystal synced Scoopic is well suited for low-budget music video work, which is what I'll mainly be using it for. It's a fair bit smaller then the NPR and can do 64 fps and single frame shooting. But thanks for the suggestion - I hadn't looked into the NPR before.
