Bryce It all depends on what you mean by extreme and what type of shooting you will be doing. But these cameras share the same deep DOF as all 1/3" chip cameras. The V1 uses 1/4" chips so probably has an even deeper DOF. Without an adapter, the best way to minimize the DOF would be to shoot pretty much wide open (f/stop) all the time and zoomed in - which means you'd have to move the camera much farther back to control framing. Keeping the subject as far away from the b.g. as possible helps as well. But if extremely shallow DOF is something you want beyond a shot here or there, I'd go with an adapter for ease and consistency. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
