It was made in Sydney with an initial budget of about $150,000 using two JVC HDV cameras, and has now secured worldwide distribution through Sony Pictures. It was in the cinemas here for a short while but I didn't really take much notice of it. After reading the Wikipedia article about it I rented the DVD a few days ago, and I was really impressed with the production quality. OK, the story line is a tad derivative, coming off as a bit like Blade Runner meets Eraserhead, and you could tell it was only shot with cheap HD cameras, but overall it still looked like a much bigger budget film that it actually was and it held my attention all the way through.
